Also brick is being used in the construction as a representation of the area's customary building material. A "meet and greet" hall with a demanding play area is present on the top floor to keep the idea of markets as vibrant, communal gathering places. The project's goal was to include commercial amenities without detracting from the old image of the site and context to preserve the collective memory.

The busiest commercial district in Rajshahi, "Shaheb Bazar," is where "Sarkars Aemal Center" is located. This is within a close proximity to river Padma and has its very own essence and fabric including narrow alleyways, small street shops and activities. This location, in addition to the commercial facilities, is a lively and engaging space in the neighborhood. Consequently, the goal was to incorporate this distinctive quality of Rajshahi throughout the design without sacrificing appropriate commercial amenities. At the “Aemal Center” we have introduced new concepts of embracing and welcoming business spaces. The commercial facility is well connected smooth flow of light and breeze making the layout spacious and flexible.
