It was symbolized by the circular shape's continuity and the absence of any abrupt edges. Additionally, a collaboration area is necessary because the building will house numerous families. To foster social bonds among the residents, community spaces are therefore offered on the roof.
ALAMIN PRIMROSE
UTTARA, DHAKA, 2023
“Alamin primrose” is a multi-family residence in uttara Dhaka. This project is a contemporary residential structure that developed from a strong, pure classical shape. One of its façades, which has arched openings, exhibits this classical influence. Being a residential project, comfort was a top priority, therefore good lighting and ventilation were offered. A circular aperture in an envelope wall breaks up the building's monotone exterior. The verandah on the exterior façade serves as the semi-outdoor space and also connects the interior with the outdoor spaces. Moreover, the opening was inspired by “primrose” a semi-evergreen plant with circular flowers.
