Md. Aftab Uddin worked for Bangladesh's Roads and Highways Department (RHD) from Oct 1976. In 2010 he retired from RHD as Additional Chief Engineer. During this tenure, he was Responsible for the management & maintenance of more than 3532 km of National Highways and 4128 km of Regional Highways of RHD including Performance Based Road Maintenance. preparing annual procurement plans for the development budget, and processing contract packages according to the development budget are among his specialties. From 2011 until 2017, Md. Aftab Uddin worked as a Procurement Specialist for a number of multinational companies. Now he is serving as the honorable “Chairman” of the “Age and Edge architecture studio” since 2018.

Sadequl Bashar studied architecture at Architecture Discipline, Khulna University. Before founding AGE & EDGE he worked at synthesis architects for almost six years, he also worked with architect & graphic designer “Salauddin Potash”. “Sadequl Bashar” perceives architecture as a machine that should work precisely to portray creative and innovative ideas along with sustainable solutions to ensure comfort to the user. He thinks along with intransitive values, architecture should have flawless functional arrangements, proper climatic solutions and sound structure. He precisely deals with every detail aspect of the project. He believes that a project’s success depends on the precise implementation of the design.

Sabrina Aftab studied architecture at Architecture Discipline, Khulna University. In 2013 she co-founded “AGE & EDGE architecture studio” along with Sadequl Bashar. Before that, she worked with world-renowned Architect and Scholar “Marina Tabassum”, “Department of Architecture-Ministry of public works and Housing, Bangladesh” and “Synthesis Architects” as a consultant. She is a passionate architect who perceives architecture as a medium to interact with humans and nature, architecture has immense power over human emotion and can boost it positively. It is her aim to do architecture in a way that can enrich and connect settlement, nature and humans all together.

With over a decade of experience in the fields of Architectural and Interior Design, he possesses a comprehensive skill set and a genuine passion for creating remarkable spaces and forms. His designs are characterized by their uniqueness, sustainability, and ability to be customized to meet the specific requirements of each client.
In the realm of architectural projects, he has made significant contributions as a Consulting Architect, leaving his mark on a number of notable projects. When it comes to high-end interior projects, he has played instrumental roles as an Architect & Design Coordinator for esteemed 5-star hotels like Le Meridien Hotel Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka. He has also been involved in prestigious endeavors such as the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Extension Proposal, where he contributed as a valued member of the Design Team. Furthermore, he served as the Interior Design Consultant for the annex wing of DusitD2 Yarkay, a 5-star hotel in Thimphu, Bhutan. He is also engaged in several other Hotel Interior Design projects in Bhutan and quite a few prestigious projects in Bangladesh.
In addition to his accomplishments in architectural and interior design, he possesses a deep expertise in Product Design and fabrication, particularly in the realm of Furniture Design. He is genuinely passionate about creating innovative and functional furniture pieces. From conceptualization to prototyping and final fabrication, he has refined his skills in translating ideas into tangible products.
As a team player, he excels in his interpersonal skills and communicates effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, engineers, vendors, and workers. He thrives in collaborative environments and maintains open lines of communication throughout the design and construction processes. His goal is to consistently achieve successful project outcomes by fostering a collaborative atmosphere that ensures seamless execution and client satisfaction.
