Our Founding Partner “Sabrina Aftab” Along with Her Team have been Awarded “2nd Prize” in the Architectural Design Competition (2nd Phase) for the “Proposed Golpahar Mohashawshan Temple Complex”
“PROPOSED GOLPAHAR MOHASHAWSHAN TEMPLE COMPLEX” is an open architectural design competition organized by Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) Chattogram Chapter. This competition aims to design a modern, sustainable religious complex. The design needs sensitivity to the Sanatan culture as well as to the community.
Our endeavor was the architectural translation that comprehends the program requirements for a functional temple complex and aspires to create a unique form that houses a transcendental space, we searched for a solution that can coexist in this urban realism, give a chance to transition, and finally reveal the core space that emanates an ambiance fostering spiritual emancipation. Another important fact that we have addressed is the urban realm of public life in the city and people's innate need for tranquility. This Temple Complex stages a transition between this harsh material world and a spiritual space where people can contently contemplate the connection between Atman and Param-atman.
